Safe Work Practice's unique Train the Trainer Program for direct care / nursing staff, is based on changing the way care staff move, and teaching them to pass on those changed behaviours to the other staff within their workplace. Participants of this program will learn how to assess posture and movement patterns, and re-enforce safe manual handling principles that can be applied to any task. The content within this program provides manual handling facilitators with a resource that they can use on an ongoing basis. This tool is suitable for use in training sessions, and for staff to refresh themselves on specific principles and manual handling techniques, including but not limited to transfers, push pull tasks, and personal care tasks, along with light repetitive tasks, and sustained postures.

ACN Endorsed CourseThis Train the Trainer Program for direct care / nursing staff, is endorsed by ACN according to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Endorsed Course Standards. It has been allocated 6 CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Continuing Professional Development Standard.
